Job Description:

The Video Producer is primarily responsible for assisting with the creation and maintenance of both internal and external video assets. The Video Producer works with the Learning team to produce a range of material including product videos, recruiting videos, social videos, best practice videos, how-to videos, training videos, hosted internal communications, and other resources as necessary.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure on-time execution and delivery of high quality video productions for internal and external audiences with minimal technical supervision using video editing, green screen production, image editing, document formatting, animation, and audio skills and tools
  • Scripting, story boarding, location scouting and scheduling video productions to deliver projects on deadline
  • Makes technical and creative decisions regarding: locations, lighting, shooting angles, placement and type of microphones, other audio needs, production issues
  • Source on screen talent for video production and provide coaching where needed
  • Recording and editing video and sound projects, selecting appropriate media output formats, sourcing additional media, organizing raw media files, editing media files, producing necessary titles, graphics, special effects, music and voice overs
  • Assembles, compresses, posts, and archives all final audio/video materials (ensuring quality control, color grading, appropriate file structure, and finishing)
  • Managing multiple projects simultaneously, working closely with leadership to set project scope, priorities, deadlines, and schedules
  • Collaborating with a range of both internal and external stakeholders to produce assets for Paylocity and its respective departments as assigned
  • Conduct video equipment maintenance
  • Keeps current with the latest developments and trends in video production
 

Experience and Skills:

Required Qualifications
• 5+ years of related professional experience, preferably demonstrating accomplishments in a learning and SaaS environment
• Ability to independently transform raw content and data received from subject matter experts into video content with full narrative structure, scripts and images
• Experience with a range of professional recording devices (video and sound) and comfort working in various media formats
• Ability to support the delivery of live-stream video events
• Proficient with Adobe Creative Cloud applications (Premiere, After Effects required; Photoshop, Illustrator, Audition a plus)
• Experience with shooting and editing live video as well as with a green screen and other locations.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office 2003-2010 products (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and Adobe PDF documents
• Strong attention to details, policies and procedures with the ability to identify and recommend improvement opportunities
• Ability to manage multiple projects with tight deadlines
• Capable of making quality decisions quickly
• Demonstrated ability to build trust with colleagues and customers

Preferred Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate discipline or equivalent work experience
• Experience with multimedia authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, Camtasia, or Lectora
• Training content creation experience
• Experience with motion graphics and ability to assist in the creation of art that can be repurposed in other content (e.g. infographics)
